CARD TOURNAMENT. FINAL WON BY WAIPOUA. . The final of the Friendly Societies’ card tournament took place last night when Waipoua Lodge of Oddfellows (American Order) beat the Druids by 11 games to 8. Subsequently a very enjoyable social was held, at which the shield was. presented to the winners, and the following toast list honoured: —“The King,” “The Winners,” Mr R. Davies —Mr McKenzie (Waipoua Lodge); “Runners Up.” Mr S. Miller—Mr J. Buckton; “The Losers,” Mr J. Fenton —- Messrs IT. Marsh (Oddfellows’ B), R. Davies (Foresters), J. Harris (Oddfellows A), W. McArley (Hibernians); “The Press,” Mr “Paddy” Smith —Mr L. Emery.
