POWER BOARD EXPLANATION. Mr A^Sampbeir Pearce,.chairman of the Wairarapa Electric Power Board, has' asked us to publish the following:— '‘lt -H;ould appear from recent comment in the Press, that the Power Board is insisting on the removal of certain trees in the Greytown Borough.

“I should like it to be clearly understood by the public,; that all the Board has done is to ask if the Greytown Borough Council will consent to the cutting down .and trimming of certain trees in the Borough which have caused, and are likely to cause, interference in the supply of power to the BorfeyK. ’ a matter;, of choosing beretaining of trees which may and aesthetical vasuch trees to elimin-* atßPPbtential danger to the public, and to eliminate one cause of interruption in the supply of power.”
