SYDNEY CONVERSION LOAN
STRIKING SUCCESS. SYDNEY, Friday.. The aeting-Premierj the Hon. M. FBruxner, announces that advice has been received from London that a £2,000,000 conversion- loan, issued by the Sydney County Council, which administers the electricity. undertaking of Sydney, has been oversubscribed in London by £30,000,000. The loan, which bears interest at 4 per cent, issued at 99, is for the conversion of city of Sydney ' debentures and the repayment of existing liabilities of the recently-created Sydney County Council.
