FERRIER DEFEATED.

IN EXHIBITION ROUND,

(Received Monday, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON, Sunday.

Locke defeated Perrier in an exhibition round at the Royal Automobile Club course at Epsom, 73/76, medal conditions, and 2/1, match play. Heavy rain prevented good scoring, although both played well against a standard scratch score of 75. MAHUNGA CLUB. During the week-end a team representing the Mahunga Golf Club played against the members of tho Martinborough Golf Club on the Martinborough links. In a fourball match the honours were even, but in tho singles, play Mahunga won by 11 games to 5.
