FERRIER DEFEATED.

Locke defeated Perrier in an exhibition round at the Royal Automobile Club course at Epsom, 73/76, medal conditions, and 2/1, match play. Heavy rain prevented good scoring, although both played well against a standard scratch score of 75. MAHUNGA CLUB. The following are the best cards returned for-a medal round played by members of the above club on Saturday last:— LADIES. Miss McKenna 75, Mrs L. Roach 76, Miss Sumpter. 79, Miss Evans 80, Mrs and Miss 1 Ingley 82, Miss Ward and Miss Wyber 83, Miss Edgecombe and Miss Boddington 84, Miss Coulter 85. MEN. N. Millar 66, A. Smith 70, E. J. Reid 72, 11. Parker 74, C. SandbecJc and G. V. Greer 75, D. Hunn 76, W. Johansen, J. Claridge and R. Faulknor 77. MATCH AGAINST MARTINBORO’. During the week-end a team representing the Mahunga Golf Club played against the members of tho Martinborough Golf Club on the Martinborough links. In a fourball match the honours were even, but in tho singles, play Mahunga won by 11 games to 5. Sleetli beat Evans and Friend; J. Martin and J. Pike lost to Einam and McNaught; J. D. McDougall and V. Rankin beat Colvin and Smith; G. Stunell and M. McLeod beat Jago and McGregor; C. Sievers and G. McLeod all square with Reid and Faulknor; P. Beale and R. Lawrence all square with Hunn and Burling; 11. Haycock and W. Sievers lost to Donald and Wagg.
