STILL NO NEWS. (Received Monday, 10.15 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Mr Strouts, who arrived in the yacht Igdrasil from New Zealand, said he had not sighted the Joseph Conrad since February, when he passed her off the New Zealand coast. His yacht was equipped with wireless, and he received no reports of the disaster. A search party which went along the beach yesterday discovered three hatch covers, each nine feet square. Distress signals were reported in the neighbourhood on lgt June, having been seen by the Katigi and also from the shore. . A terrible, isea was running in that period. It is stated that, according to experts, the hatch covers washed ashore came from an 18ft. hatch. —(P.A.) The master of the Kartigi, when off Porangahau on Ist June, saw what he states were three rockets at intervals of 45 seconds and one minute from a position inshore, slightly south of the mouth of the Porangahau River. He searched for two hours without result.
