A. AND P. ASSOCIATION

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the general committee of the Masterton A. and P. Association was held last night, Mr W. F. McLaren presiding. Three resignations were accepted. Mr G. H. Perry mentioned that Mr W. G. Baird had been a member of the Association for a long period and ho considered some acknuowledgment should be sent. On the motion of Mr W. G. Lamb it was decided that a letter be sent to Mr Baird from the Association thanking him for his long support of the Association over a long period of years. Mr N. Blatchford suggested that it be a recommendation to the committee that consideration be given as to whether straw should be in the sheep pens at the Shaw while judging was taking place. One of the judges considered that this should not be so as it made tho sheep appear too short in the leg and made judging more difficult.

Another member said the Association should have judging rings.
