CHILDREN’S GRUESOME FIND

FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED. (Received Saturday, 10.20 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. Some children, playing on a vacant allotment in South Richmond, found a parcel which, according to their story to the police, contained a woman’s head. They said that they were on their way to the Police Station when a man took the parcel from them, paying he would give information to the police. This was not done. The police take a grave view because they state that each child, on being questioned separately, told exactly the same story.
