APEX INVESTMENT TRUST

The annual general meeting of the shareholders of Apex Investment Trust of New Zealand, Ltd., was held on Thursday evening.

The annual report showed, inter alia, that the Company’s investments were spread over companies conducting business in New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain and America. The aggregate increase in the value of Stock Exchange securities above their cost price at 31st December was over 17 per cent. No repayments under hire purchase agreements were outstanding at the close of the year, and all payments have been promptly made in the interval. The profit and loss Account showed a gross profit of £258/8/10 (1934, £l6l/10/9); the net profit was £157/9/- as against £66/10/8 for 1934. Mr J. Steel, retiring director, was re-elected to the Board.

A dividend of 3 per cent, was declared as against 2} per cent, for tho previous year.
