MAURICEVILLE NOTES

School Dance. The Mauriceville School Committee held a very successful dance in the East Hall on Wednesday evening. Assisted by Mr and Mrs J. W. Milner and Mr and Mrs Eckhold, the committee had left nothing undone. Dancing to music supplied by the Dhythm Boys’ Orchestra was continued till an early hour. During the evening extras were played by Messrs C. Eckhold and J. Milner; The Monte Carlo was won by Miss C. Hibberd and Mr B. Hurley, whilst the spot waltz was won by Mrs Eckhold and Mr Weston. Other competition winners were Miss T. Newman, Mrs S. Jcrmy, Messrs J. McGovern and A. Campbell. Owing to counter - cittrnc i ions tliis week, the usual mid-week games of the PingrPong Club have been put off till evening. • Miss Linda Martin, of Wellington, is on a short visit to relatives.
