ADDINGTON PRICES. CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Values at Addington market to-day were fully maintained. The entries were of normal size. Store sheep had a slightly improved market for a small offering. Forward wethers sold well. Medium two, four, and six-tooth ewes made 20/9 to 21/-; good sound-mouth crossbred, to 27/-; medium six-tooth half bred, 25/1 to 27/6; medium sixand eight-tooth crossbred, to 23/9; failing-mouth half bred, 12/6 to 15/6; forward four and six-tooth wethers, 21/10 to 22/2; ordinary four and sixtooth wethers, to 18/7; merino wethers, to 17/9. Fat sheep: Values for good wethers and ewes', were better by a shilling a head and for secondary sorts Od. Extra prime heavy wethers sold to 29/7; prime heavy, 26/- to 28/-; prime medium weight, 23/- to 25/6; ordinary, 19/- to 22/6; light, 17/- to 18/6; extra prime ewes, to 25/10; prime heavy, 23/- to 24/6; prime medium weight, 19/6 to 22/6; ordinary, 15/6 to 19/-; light, 11/- to 15/-. Fat cattle: 515 head were penned, compared with 369 last week. Some better quality cattle were forward, and some truck lots averaged from £lO to £ll/5/- a head. Good cattle were firm at last week’s rates, othera being slightly easier. Best beef made 24/to 26/6 per 1001 b.; good, 21/- to 23/-; heavy, 18/- to 21/-; and ordinary, 16/to 19/-. Extra prime heavy steers sold to £l2/12/6; prime heavy, £B/15/- to £lO/15/-; prime medium weight, £7 10/- to £9; ordinary, £5 to £7; light, to £4/10/-; extra prime heifers, to £9 17/6; prime, £5/10/- to £7/10/-; ordinary, £4/5/- to £5/5/-; light, to £4; extra prime cows, to £B/7/6; prime, £5 5/- to £7; ordinary, £3/10/- to £5; light and inferior, to £3/5/-. Store cattle: No quotable lines were forward. Fat pigs.—A medium entry and a good sale, particularly for porkers. Choppers made £3 to £5/18/6; baconers, 47/6 to £3/16/6; average price per lb., 4£d to 5Jd; porkers, 26/6 to 40/6; average price per lb., 5d to SM. Store pigs.—Values were slightly easier. Weaners, 9/- to 11/6; slips, 10/- to 13/6; stores, 14/- to 26/6; sows in pig, £4/15/- to £6/13/-.
