DANUBE STATES

MUSSOLINI’S AIMS. ROME, Sunday. It is officially announced that Signor Mussolini’s discussions with Dr. Dolfuss and General Gombos, Premier of Hungary, have been arranged for 14tli16th March. It is believed that Signor Mussolini is aiming at planning economically to restore the Danubian States, probably giving Austria and Hungary an outlet to the sea through Trieste and perhaps Flume. This may assist British trade, as it is understood negotiations are in progress for the importation of British coal into Austria in exchange for timber.
