Boddington reports that 8 points of rain were registered at Solway for the 24 hours up till 9 o ’clock this morning. SOLWAY RAINFALL. Mr*H. M. Boddington reports that rain was measured on 12 days in Februarv, the maximum fall being 177 points'on the Bth, and the: minimum 3 points on the 15th; total for month, 5.42 inches, as against 2.83 (1933), 3,54 (1932), 1.44 (1931)* 1-92 (1930), , 29 points (1929); average for 31 years, 2.70 inches. The total rainfall for the two months was 8.68 inches, as compared with 3.88 (1933), 5.44 (1932), 3.76 (1931), 8.64 (1930), 2.90 (1929); average for 31 years, 5.24 inches. TO-DAY’S FORECAST. The indications are for southerly moderate to strong winds gradually decreasing. Weather cold and changeable with passing showers but the weather will improve. The barometer is rising. MARCH.
