BAND CONCERT

TO-MORROW EVENING. In the Opera House the Municipal Band will give a request concert at 8.15. The items to be played are:— Marches, “Boomerang” and “Newcastle”; contest selections, “Martha” and “Mock Doctor”; quartette, “The Veteran’s Story”; euphonium solo, “My Pretty Jane” (Bandsman H. Guthrie), and trombone solo, “The Firefly,” played by Bandsman Allan Pearson. The hymn, “Nearer My God to Thee,” will also be played-by the band. The public are invited to this concert, especially those who so liberally contributed towards the band’s contest expenses. The Mayor (Mr T. Jordan) will speak on behalf of itlie citizens Upon, the work of the band at tho recent contest.
