• ♦ HURRICANE IN MEXICO HEAVY DEATH ROLL. .Press Association Electric Telegraph—Copyright MEXICO CITY, Tuesday. There is no confirmation of a previous report that 5000 people were dead, but the death-roll is very heavy. _ The populace became panic-stricken, and thousands were washed out of their homes. Thousands are missing, and many are under the ruins of the city, three-quarters of which was destroyed. It is believed it is the greatest disaster in recent Mexican history.
