McKenzie will regret to learn that he recently had to enter the Masterton Hospital. He is now making satisfactory progress. Mr Alex Napier is gazetted a member of the Alfredton Domain Board in place of the late Mr S. M. George. Mr John Dick has been appointed a member of the Ngaturi Domain Board, vice Mr Janies Dick resigned. At the annual meeting of the Dalefield Co-operative Dairy Company the retiring directors, Messrs F. Brazendale and Geo. Sadler, were re-elected, and Mr L. J. Fairbrother elected to the directorate in place of Mr A. O. Abbott, who resigned. Mr R. Bassett was re-elected chairman of directors. Mr F. E. S. Rockel, first assistant at the West School, who has beeii-: transferred to Wellington, was entertained at Hugo and Shearer’s tearooms yesterday by representatives of the male staffs of the various Masterton primary and secondary schools. There was a large attendance and eulogistic references were made by several speakers to the worth of Mr Rockel • and to the very keen interest he had always taken in educational matters, both in the classroom and on the field of sport. Mr Rockel suitably replied. Opportunity was also taken to farewell Mr _ E. D. Robins, of the Technical staff. \
