MANAKAU BURGLARY
INTRUDERS SURPRISED. GAPTURED BY OWNER, PALMERSTON NORTH, Friday. Three young men were surprised when breaking into a general store at Manakau at 2 o’clock thL morning, and were held until' the arrival' of the police. When arrested they are stated to have had a Wellington car in. their possession. . ! An employee of the store, who ’sleeps on the premises, was disturbed, and, after investigating,, he telephoned for the owner of the store, Mr Powell, who speedily arrived and held up the three men with a shot-gun until the arrival of the police. \ The method of- entering the store was by cutting out part of the door. — (P.A.) r„: { .
