ALLOCATIONS FOR WAIRARAPA.

The- heavy traffic fees received and allocated by the Masterton County Council as the distributing authority of the No. 10 Heavy Traffic District for the quarter ending 28th February, are as follow,- the figures fo-r the corresponding quarter of 1932 being given iu parentheses:—• RECEIPTS. 'Counties.—Masterton, £63 10s 3d (£6B 1'8’s); Featherston, £l6l 4s 5d (£203 17s Id); Wairarapa South, £67 14s lOd (£26 ss); Pahiatua, £IOB 0s 7d (£B7 7s 3d); Eketaliuna, £37 Is lid (£l'l Is 6d); Akitio, £4l 0s 5d (£37 Ss fid); Castlepoint, £l2 0s 3d (£26 13s 2d). Boroughs.—Masterton, £431 16s lid (£393 10s sd); Pahiatua, £62 Is 6d (£6l 7s Id); Featherston, £143 12s (£99 8s); 'Greytown, £6 19s 6d (£2O 4s 8d); Carterton, £lOl Ss 5d (£BO 13s lOd); Eketalnma, £lO 13s Sd (£lO 13s 3d). Totals.—£l247 4s Sd (£1127 7s 9d). After the commission fee to the Masterton County Council is deducted, a sum of £1228 10s is available for distributiou, as compared • with £lllO 9s last year. The allocation is made on tho basis of five-eighths to the counties, £767 16s 3d (£694 0s 9d), and threeeighths to the boroughs, £460 13s 9d (£416 Ss 3d). Tho allocation to tho boroughs is on the basis of 40 per cent, to Masterton and the remaining boroughs have the balance equally divided. The figures aro:—Masterton, £lB4 5s Od (£166 I'ls 3d); Pahiatua, Feat hers tori, Greytown, Carterton, Eketahuna, Mart inborough, each receive £46 Is 4d (£4l 12s lOd last year). The allocution to counties is made -on tho basis of 50 per cent, capital valuation and 50 per cent, mileage -of metalled roads. The figures -are: —Masterton, £164 7s 3d (£l49'ss Sd); Featherston, £165 19s 3d (£l5O 14s Sd); Wairarapa South, £126 7s 6d (£ll4 lls lOd); Pahiatua, £IOB 7s Sd (£72 13s 2d); AkL tio, £59 19s 8d (£sl 13s lOd); Castlepoint, £35 lls 8d (£32 3s 6d); Mauricevile, £2,7 3s 7d (£24 lls Sd). Totals, £767' 16s 3d (£694 0s 9d). The allocation was prepared by Mr J. C. D. Macklcy, County Clerk, Masterton County Council.
