MASTERTON SITTING. CIVIL CASES. • In the Magistrate’s Court this morning, Mr J. Miller, S.M., gave judgment for plaintiff by -default in -the following undefended cases: — Commissioner of Taxes v. Adam McKay, £36 16-s fid; Hugo and Shearer, Ltd., v. L. McDonnell, 10s; Yee King Lung v. George Alfred Harding, £3 8s 6d, costs £1 3s fid; Watson and Co. v. H. Harris, 12s fid, costs 8s; Delcie Charlotte Rantin, as executrix of the estate of W. R. S. Rantin, v. Herbert 11. Dawson, £l6 4s, costs £2 16s; N. R. Cunningham, Ltd., v. Ernest Dawson, Ltd., £l7 14s 2d, costs £3 12s 3d. On a judgment summons, T. W. Moynahan was -ordered to pay forthwith to the N.Z. Farmers’ Distributing Co., Ltd., -the' sunr of’ £l9 9’s, ‘in default- 20days’ imprisonment. WANDERING STOCK. Owing to the fact that to-morrow is a legal holiday, a light list of by-law cases was dealt with this morning also. For having allowed, a horse to wander, Harold Charles Montgomery was fined 10s, costs 10s 6d. On a similar charge in respect to two head of cattle, T. P. O’Neill was also fined 10s, and costs 10s 6d. . Stating that lie was not quite satisfied with the position, the Magistrate adjourned for one month decision on the complaint of Thomas F. Morton for variation of maintenance order and for remission of arrears.
