BRITISH BY-ELECTION
LIVERPOOL SEAT RETAINED. LONDON, Thursday. A by-election for Liverpool Exchange, rnfide necessary by the death of Sir James Reynolds, resulted: Colonel J. J. Sliuto (Conservative), 15,198; Mr S. Silverman (Labour), 12,412. (In the 1931 election, Sir Janies Reynolds, Conservative, was returned with a majority of 13,144 votes over his Labour opponent).
