KILLING AT WADfGAWA. Killing operations at the Waingawa Freezing .Works are proceeding smoothly under the chain system. On Tliursday a new record for a day’s killing at the works was created when a total of 6112 sheep 'and lambs was slaughtered.

It is anticipated that shortly a, tally of 7000 will be reached. The staff at the works is now complete, and it is 'reported that no more men will be engaged.
