NEW ZEALAND TOURNAMENT. TO-DAY’S PLAY. WELLINGTON, This Day. The New Zealand tennis championships were continued to-day in fine weather, but are being marred by a strong northerly wind. The matches) were postponed from yesterday through rain but were continued this morning.
The only surprise was Roussell’s defeat of Robertson, a seeded' player, in a base-line game, in which the winner was infinitely more accurate, handling the wind better, occasionally winning vollies at the net. The results were as follows: —
