GOLDEN WEDDING.

MR AND MRS T. WYETH. The golden wedding of Mr and Mrs Thomas Wyeth, of Lansdowne, was celebrtaed last, night at the home of their son-in-law, Mr Norman Blatchford, manager of the Wairarapa Training Farm. There were forty-six relatives present. Mr Wyeth was born in Wellington in 1849. His father landed at Britannia, now known as Petone, from the survey sliip Cuba in 1539. Mrs Wyeth (nee Miss M. McLeod) was born in 1859 in Wellington, her father arriving in the Glen a in 1857. Mr and: Mrs Wyeth were married at Miki Miki by the Rev. L. M. Isitt (now the Hon. Mr Isitt). There are six sons and four daughters of the marriage, all of whom were born at Miki Miki.

Mr and Mrs Wyeth received numerous congratulatory letters and telegrams* from all parts of New Zealand. During the evening many speeches were made, extending heartiest greetings to Mr and Mrs Wyeth. Mr T. Wyeth, junior, of Mt. Bruce, proposed the health of his parents in a. neat speech, Mr Wyeth, senior, suitably replying. Mr Wyeth was a noted athlete in his younger days, and was the longdistance champion of New Zealand. All of the family, except two, were present at the anniversary celebrations.
