A NEW CHALLENGER. WORLD WATER RECORD. RUGBY, Tuesday. Miss England the Third, tho motorboat in Avliich Mr Kaye Don hopes to establish a neAV Avorld Avater speed record, Avas launched yesterday at the Thames yard of Thorneycroft’s, engineers. She has tAVO Schneider Tro-phy-type Rolls-Royce engines which develop a nominal horsepOAver of 4000, •but actually considerably more, twin propellers and rudders fore and aft. She is almost the same size as her ,famous predecessor, 35 feet long, 9 feet G inches broad.
The boat was later put abroad a ship Avhieh sailed later for Italy, where she will compete for the Dannunzio Trophy on Lake Garda, and will attempt to create a fresh record. In the autumn she will race in the United States.
