DEPORTATION OF LEADERS. OTTAWA, Monday. Labourites are protesting against the arrest of five Western Communist leaders transported secretly to Halifax for deportation. The Minister of Justice denies that the men have been railroaded, and promises a hearing. A Calgary message states that the mine-owners in the Crow’s Nest district refuse to negotiate with 3000 striking miners unless the latter withdraw trom the Communist Workers’ Unity League.
