OFFICIALS BEWILDERED BY THE CONFLICT. Press Association Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received Tuesday, 9.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. State taxation officials are bewildered by the conflict of Eederal and State institutions. From to-morrow they will be required, under the Federal law, to transfer State taxation money to the Commonwealth Bank. The, revenue wherewith the Federal proclamation deals covers, among other things, motor vehicles, death duties, stamp duties, licenses and lands. The Federal authorities have issued instructions to all postmasters in New South Wales that the sale of stamps, from which the State collects revenue, must cease. The Commonwealth Government intends to amend the Enforcement Act to exempt the funds ef the New South Wales Superannuation Board, so that pensions may be paid by cheque in the ordinary way.
