STOCK MARKET
JOHNSONVILLE SALE. Prices generally were firm at tae Johnson ville sale yesterday, when Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., and Abraham and Williams, Ltd., offered to a large attendance of buyers a full yarding of all classes of stock. The cattle comprised mostly medium-weight bullocks, with a 'few pens of heavier cattle. Heifers were yarded in larger numbers than usual. There was also a fair yarding of vealers. Competition for all cattle was good at last week’s rates. Sheep: There was a good demand for ewes, wethers and lambs, at last week’s rates; if anything, ewes showed a firming tendency.
