AMATEUR THEATRICALS

MASTERTON SOCIETY. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the blasterton Amateur Theatrical Society was held last evening. The meeting was well attended, and the general opinion was that the Society should produce a play this year.The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Patron, Mr C. F. Valla nee; president, Mr H. P. Hugo; vice-presidents, Messrs R. F. R. Beetham, D. .J. Cameron, D. Caselbeig, O. H. Beetham, D. Cameron, F. G. Maun sell, G. Shaw, G. R. Sykes, M.P., J. Jameson, C. J. Bennett and Mrs W. A. Burling; lion, secretary, Mr C. E. Rogers; hon. treasurer, Mr L. S. Nicol; him. auditor, Mr H. J. Francis; property master, Mr C. D. Robertson; business manager, Mr H. P. Hugo; committee, Mrs H. J. Francis, Miss M. Cameron, Messrs R. Page, R. Shaw, V. Joseph, C. C. Marsack and R. Winteringham. It. was decided to leave the matter of producing a play this year to the new committee to decide.
