RELEASE EXPECTED.
Press Association Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, Thursday. The "Daily Mail’s” Dublin correspondent says that the Minister of Justice, Mr J. Geoghegan, and the Minister of Defence, Mr F. Aitkcn, visited Arbour Hill prison and ordered that all political prisoners should be permitted to wear their own clothes. It is expected that they will be released to-day. According to the "News-Chronicle” correspondent, an order is expected to be issued to-day for a suspension of the Public Safety Act. TROUBLE FEARED. ALL IRELAND REPUBLIC. (Received Friday, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Thursday. Many people in Ireland fear that serious trouble is imminent owing to the Republicans’ election success tending to incite them to determined efforts to secure the inclusion of Northern Ireland in a completely all-Ireland Republic. PRISONERS RELEASED. (Received Friday, 12.5 p.m.) LONDON, Thursday. Twenty political offenders sentenced by the Free State Military Tribunal have been released. They were acclaimed as they were driven from the prisons. It is expected that the Tribunal Act will be scrapped shortly. Legislation abolishing'the oath may be introduced in the Dail before the Holy Week adjournment.
