FIRE BOARD
OEDINAEY MEETING. The ordinary meeting of the Masterton Fire Board was held this morning, there being present: —Messrs T. Jenkins (chairman), \V. Candy, JV. Barton, J. AVesiiey and A. Rij^n. The estimates for the next year were considered, and a reduction made. Mr Rippon raised the question of tlio desirability .of the hospital being included in the Fire Board.area. Ihis was considered desirable.
The superintendent submitted his quarterly report, covering the operations of the brigade for that period.. The business of the meeting is being continued this afternoon.
