DRUNKEN MOTORIST

A SHEPHERD FINED. Arrested at 11 o’clock on Monday night following an accident on the Martinborough-Featherston Highway, a shepherd, named John McLennan, of Martinborough, appeared before Justices at Featherston yesterday on a charge of being intoxictaed while in charge of a motor car. McLennan was convicted and fined £ls, his license was cancelled, and he was disqualified from holding another for a further twelve months. A collision occurred with another ear, McLennan’s machine being badly damaged.
