ILLNESS, NOT ALCOHOL,
CHRISTCHURCII, Tuesday
Dr. .1. E. K. Brown was charged today with being intoxicated in charge of a ear. The case was dismissed after medical evidence had been given that defendant’s condition was not due to the consumption of alcohol but to the accumulated effects of illness and medicine he had taken.
He was convicted on a charge of driving in a manner which was, or might have been, dangerous to the public, which was substituted for the major charge.
