After failing to race up to expectations at the Manawatu meeting Banbridge got on the winning list at Stratford, where he won a high-weight handicap on New Year’s Day. Banbridgc is engaged in similar events at the Wellington meeting and it would not surprise to find him equal to winning one of these races, now that he has struck form.
Jaloux received a kick just before the start of the Grandstand Handicap at EHerslie on January 2. but according to southern reports he shows no signs of injury from it. If he goes along all right in his work during the next few days lie will have a lot of support in his Wellington engagement after his consistent form at Auckland,
