ARAPUNI TEST. • HAMILTON, This Day. With the object of carrying out survey work inside the diversion tunnel at the Arapuni hydro-electric works and testing the effectiveness of the work done to the walls and dam gates, the tunnel was closed yesterday and the lake behind the dam filled to a depth of 66 feet. The operation was carried out successfully and the tests made are regarded as highly satisfactory.
