FORESTER’S LODGE

FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting was held last night, when a large number of members were present and presided over by C.R. Bro. S. J. O ’Connor, The .sick visitors reported that the members on the sick list were making satisfactory progress. Two Bros, were declared on the list and one declared off.

Correspondence was received from Bro. L. Mclndoe, secretary of Court .Little John (Marton), giving a detail account of the funeral of the late Bro. W. Duncan, a member of the-Court Loyal Enterprise, and who was a baker in Masterton at one time. The <*scretary- reported that the books and annual balance-sheet had been returned from the District Book Examiner, with no tags attached. The Book Examiner congratulated the seon the most efficient manner in had been kept. A letfrom the District Secretary on the same strain. The secretary presented the audited annual bal-ance-sheet which was adopted. Figures were produced by the secretary covering the past five years’ work of the lodge, which gave the members a clear idea as to liow the lodge -was progressing. All present were very interested in t?re progress the lodge had made, and the secretary was thanked for his information. Sick pay accounts amounting to £l4 were passed for payment. The next meeifrig will be held on February Ist.
