TURF NOTES. K ■ A Foxton Press Asoeiation message* states that the jockey, B. H. Monis, was severely cautioned and fined £25 for his riding of Chief Savage in the Awahou Hack Handicap at the Foxton races yesterday.

The committee of the Canterbury Owners and Breeders ’ Association discussed the Ngingongingo case, and a resolution was passed expressing confidence in the New Zealand Trotting Association.and strongly urging tho New Zealand Trotting Conference to use every endeavour to retain the association as at present constituted, states a Press Association message from Christchurch.
