Y.M.C.A. CAMP
ENROLMENTS EXCELLENT.
The annual camp organised by the local Y.M.C.A. for all boys over H years of age is commencing early next week and all intending campers are to report to thj Y.M.C.A. Rooms.to night. Already the enrolments for the camp are greatly in excess of the figures of last °year, so that the prospects of a successful camp are very bright. The site is at Kopuaranga, on the property of Messrs. Donald Bros., beside the Kopuaranga Stream, xvliich xvidens and deepens at the spot into a first-class safe SAvimming pool. The camp, which extends for a period of ten days, is chiefly in the form of a recreational and character building holiday for boys whether Y.M.C.A. members or not, who xvould not otherwise get axvay for the summer holidays. As such, it provides an opportunity to parents to give their boys a xvholesome change in a good environment at a remarkably small cost, before the year’s schooling commences again. Parents thinking of sending their b&ys to the camp xvho have not already been in touch xx-itli the local secretary, xvlio will personally supervise the camp, are invited to communicate with Mr. Bate without delay.
