WITH THE HARRIERS

SANDERS CUP CONTEST. To-morrow will see the cream of Hutt A T alley Harrier Club lined up with the local club to fight the annual duel for possession of the coveted Sanders Cup. In order to give the visitors time to recover _ from their journey the race is timed to start at 3.30 p.m. from the Park Oval. Harrier supporters and those generally interested will be afforded a good view of the race in its various stages, as the' runners pass in front of the grandstand three times, starting, finish of the first lap of the course, and the finish at the winning post. This event should prove to be a very closely contested race as, though the local club lacks very fast men, their, excellent team work should prove superior to the Hutt Valley Harrier team who will probably secure the first six positions in the race. In the evening the visitors will be the guests of the local club at one of their excellent danc-es, at which the various trophies will be presented, and the newly-formed Harrier Orchestra will > make its debut, playing the supper extras. A warning word to local club men: Do not make the mistake of changing from ordinary clothes to running apparel and wandering around thus scantily clad. After "loosening up” the muscles, rub on a little oil, and get into long strides and a sweater or overcoat.
