MINE TRAGEDY.
RESCUERS ENTOMBED. BERLIN, Thursday. Twenty-one rescuers were entombed by a fall of rock in the Altdorf colliery. The bodies recovered up to 1.30 o’clock this morning number 248. DEATH ROLL EXCEEDS 300. '(Received Friday, 12.45 p.m.) BERLIN, Thursday. The death roll is expected to exceed 300. The victims will be buried in a common grave on Saturday. The Communists are organising demonstrations against the mine owners, and have called a general strike throughout the district on Saturday.
