METHODIST HOME.
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. At tho monthly meeting of the Management Committee of the Methodist Cliuldren’s Home, there were present: — Messrs C. E. Daniell (presiding), A. H. Daniell, F. E. Wells, Dr. N. 11. Prior, Mrs Cocker, Miss Burton and the Rev. J. Cocker (secretary-manager). Applications on behalf of children to be admitted to the Home were dealt with, and also applications for children from the Home and copies of the annualreport were received. Accounts amounting to £7l 11s fid were passed for payment. During the expenditure exceeded the income by £45, and it was stated that financial help would be appreciated. There are 42 boys and girls in the Home. The secretary (the Rev. J. Cocker) desires to thank the following donors for their gifts: —Mr Ball, bread, butter, pastry and fruit salad; Y.M.C.A., cakes; Mr Butchart, bread; Barber Bros., tin of dripping; Mr Farley, five cases of apples; “Friend,” cakes; Mrs Wilson, buns; Wray and Sons, bread, buns and cake; W.F.C.A., jellies and sandwiches; West School, jelly and cakes; Mr Adwinkle (Levin), set of books; Methodist Girls’ Bible Class, •sweets and milk; Caledonian Society, jellies; Mrs Davie, shoes and stockings; Mrs McLaren, clothing; Messrs McLeod and Young, toys; Mrs Saunders, cakes; Mrs Tolhurst, coffee and cordials; Mrs Brazil, jam; Mr Grey (Greytown), apples; Gressier’s, scones; Mr Shaw, vegetables; Anonymous, two bags of potatoes, swedes, four dozen of eggs; Mrs Cameron, eggs; Mrs Lochore, parsnips; Mr D. Smith, tin of honey; Methodist Bible Class Rally, cakes; Napier Ladies’ Guild, one dozen nightdresses.
