THE LEADERSHIP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, This Day. Questioned by a “Danuevirke Nows ” representative about the Wellington rumours of tho possibility of the early retirement of the Prime Minister, and the appointment of himself as leader of the United Party, Mr E. A. Ransom today stated: “I have no knowledge of the suggested retirement of the Prime Minister, but should Sir Joseph Ward decide to do so, all members of the Party will be called together to select a leader. Until such time as they are called together, I do not desire to make any comment upon the position of the future leader.” -
