Y.M.C.A.

LADIES’ AUXILIARY. There was a good attendance -of members at the regular meeting of the Y.AI.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary held yesterday afternoon in the Association’s Rooms.

Mrs A. Cameron presided, and extended a welcome to Mrs F. Taylor, who was elected as a new member. The business of the meeting included detailed arrangements for the annual Father and Son Banquet to be held on Wednesday next, and for the next Gymnasium Social to take place on Saturday week. It was agreed that a deputation consisting of Mesdames Cameron and Kilgour should wait on the directors to obtain their co-operation in several special efforts to be made to augment the new piano fund. One proposal was to hold a big day early in February, one of the features of which is to be a Paddy’s Market. Routine business was also transacted after which Mesdames Coleman, Young and Welch acted as hostesses for the afternoon.
