BIG DEFICITS.
IN MOST OF THE STATES. Press Association-Electric Telegraph-Copyright (Received Monday, 9.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Federal deficit is likoly to be £3,250,000. It is the first deficit since Dr. Page became Treasurer five years ago. The New South Wales deficit will be between £1,100,000 and £1,200,000, which is £40,000 less than Mr Bavin estimated some months ago. The .South Australian Government ’s financial year close I with a deficit of £277,126. A substantial deficit is expected by the Victorian Government. —Australian and N.Z. Press Assn.
