DEATH OF J. H.. HOFT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. At the inquest on .John Herman Hoft, of FeatherstOn, who was found in the water at Petone after his cries had been heard at night, a verdict was returned of found drowned, thero being no evidence to show how deceased came to be in'the water.
