NINE SKELETONS FOUND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) IX ACER CAR GILL,' Saturday. The discovery is reported of nine moa skeletons at Lime Hills, near Winton. A party of three descended into a cave and came across the bones. Some were 60 feet below the surface. They also discovered the bones of small oirds. These arc considered to be of the welca. The find is a valuable one for museum purposes, and it is unmistakable evidence of the previous existence of the moa in large numbers in Southland.
