A great Empire’ flight, the' biggest undertaken by the air service in any country, will begin in October, when six supermarinF Southampton flying boats will set out from England to Singapore, under command of WingCommander T. Lindbergh, prior to his departure for Brussels, superintended the tank filling and final adjustments, and signed Le Bourget’s golden book with an oilstained hand. An enormous crowd, cheering enthusiastically, watched liis departure. Many broke through the cordon of tro-ops compelling Lindbergh to take off hurriedly to esoapo his admirers’ zeal. Escorted by a squadron of military ’planes, Lindbergh flew over Paris, where the roofs and streets were packed with cheering crowds. He dropped a message of thanks. He flew over Senlis and dropped a message, saluting the town’s courage in wartime. Lindbergh was welcomed in Brussels with equal cordiality, tens of thousands cheering him when he drove through the streets; He placed a wreath on the Unknown Soldier and the Airmen’s Memorial. The 'King and Queen gave Lindbergh an audience, and decorated him with the Cross' of Knighthood and the Order of Leopold. —A.P.A. and Sun. FLIGHT TO ENGLAND. LONDON, Saturday. When Captain Lindbergh flies to London from Brussels on Monday, two large British air liners will accompany him to Croydon, and Royal Air Force machines will meet him over the English 'coast line. He will be given an cflieial welcome, and his 2 n '°g l,amme will include a luncheon in his honour on Tuesday, and a visit to Epsom to see the Derby run on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Captain Lindb'ergh will be received by the King. Lindbergh’s list of engagements includes tea at the House of Commons as the guest of Lady Astor. He expects to leave for Paris on Thursday.
