(Special to '‘Daily Times.”) A general meeting of the YY airarapa Referees’ Association was held in the P. and A. rooms, Carterton, last night. Ylr E. Frernan- presided over a good attendance.

Correspondence was received from the Wellington Referees’ AssocinCon, stating that Mr D. Hagerty was desirous of joining up with their Association anu asking for his qualiffea: ons. These 1-ad been supplied by the scare tary. and Mr Hagerty was now an active member of the city Association. A letter was received from tlm Wellington Association re a football match op. June 3rd, accepting the cha.leng n , and also a letter suggesting that as the North v. South Island match had been put back till a later date, the match bo played then. The secretary stated that he had agreed to this, as there weer no games in Wellington on June 3rd.

A letter was received from the Wairarapa Rugby Union, thanking the Association for delivering lectures to the different clubs.

Letters were received from the Masterton, Featherston and High School Old Boys’ Clubs, thanking .the Association for the lectures; from the High School re a third grade match for the 22nd; . from J. O. Pinhev, resigning from the Association owing to having shifted from the district. It was decided to accept the latter’s resignation with regret, and the Association passed a vote of thanks to Mr Pinhev for his services, the same to be sent to him by letter; also that Mr Pinhev be sent a transfer, to enable him to join up with the Auckland Association.

A discussion on the rules then took place, after which the meeting adjourned.
