KNOX SUNDAY SCHOOL.

NEW PRIMARY DEPARTMENT. INTERESTING OPENING CEREAIONY. f Nearly 200 members of Knox Church, on Saturday afternoon to take part in. t-lie opening of the new -building for the primary department of the Sunday school. The building will accommodate 100 scholars. it cost £2260, of which only £2OO remained, to be subscribed. - The Rev. John Davie presided and the ereuiony was performed by the Right Rev. John Kilpatrick, Moderator of the Presbyterian Chureh. of New Zealand, Air. C. E. was present, representing the Alethodist Church. An apology for absence was received from Air Johns, the architect. The first part of the ceremony was held in the church, where Mr. Davie introduced Air. Kilpatrick to the assemblage. After a liymu of praise, Mr. Davie read short passages ej Scripture (Matthew IS: I—6; Alark, 10: 13—16). He then led the congre-

Another very interesting part of tie ceremony was the presentation of a piano to 'the Sunday School, on behalf of the Ladies’ Social Guild _by Mrs N. Ml'llgi' (president of tiie Gjfc). Miss Lois McGregor of the primary department) expressed thanks for the generous gift. A hymn of praise and the benediction’ concluded a ceremony that marked another big step forward by the Presbyterian 'community of Mnsterton.
