As advertised, a meeting lias been called bv the Mayor for Wednesday evening, at: which a scheme for establishment of a W.E.A. centre in Masterton will be explained and considered, if the proposal is:adopted, courses ef public lectures <rf an educational nature will be arranged,.and tutorial classes will also be commenced.- Under tms scheme the W.E.A. committee will be made thoroughly representmMye all sections of the? eomihunitsjjpd Victria University College will uudertare •responsibility "for the educational side of the work. Mr T. Jordan, the Major, lias agreed to act as president of the Masterton Centre, and will take the chair at Wednesday’s meeting.
