LAUNCH BURNT.
ENGINE MISHAP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WAIHI, Saturday. j During the holidays an. oil launch, - owned by Mr W. H. Ross, was destroyed by fire in Whangamata harbour. A party was starting out on a trip when the engine back-fired, and it Ws|^ { found impossible to extinguish tho sequent blaze. The launch ultimately sank in ten feet of water. Meanwhile tho party got ashore safeiy.
