SATUEDAY'S CEBEMONY. ' On Saturday afternoon the official opening of the Cecelia Whatman Homs will take place; the ceremony commencing at 2.30 o’clock. The Prime Alinister (the Hon. J. Gv Coates), accompanied' by Mrs Coates and two of their children, will arrive on Saturday morning. They will lunch: at the Hotel Midland, and will shown, over the Home prior to the opening. The following .programme will be observed: —Opening hymn; dedicatory prayer; outline of the purposes oif thohome and the introduction of the donor, Air A. P. AVhatman, by Coinmis.sioner Hoggard l ; handing over of the title deeds by Air Whatman to the Salvation Army authorities; address by Air Coates; votes of thanks to the Prime Alinister, moved by the AlayojjpMr T. Jordan) and seconded by Air TO E. Sykes, M.P.; opening of the home by the Prime Minister; admission of the public. A huge marquee has been erected in the grounds, and a big day is being prepared for both parents and children.
